Welcome to the Non-Resident Management Unit (UPNR: Unit Pengurusan Non Resident)
Non-Resident Management Unit or known as UPNR is a unit under the Student Affairs and Alumni Department (HEP: Hal Ehwal Pelajar). The main function of this unit is to assist Non-Resident (NR) students to search for houses in and around Shah Alam area. The UPNR extends its function to care for NR students’ well-being and welfare throughout their study period.
This unit is led by a Principal, an NR Manager, assisted by NR Assistant Manager, two general clerks and four office assistants. This unit directly reports to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni). The UPNR is located at Level 1 of the Kompleks Prima Siswa, situated between Melati Hostel and Teratai Hostel near Dataran Cendekia. The office is opened from 8.00 am till 5.30 pm and attends to all NR-related matters.
Services provided:
- Housing Database for NR Students
- Prepare Rental and Safety guidelines
- Assist student-related programmes and activities (community events)
- Car sticker application and approval
- Meetings with Members of the Community including Local Authorities and Mosque representatives
- Site visits to NR student housing rentals
- Advising NR students in need of help and assistance
- Act as a middleperson to negotiate on behalf of NR students / family / University and landlord
- Organize an NR Open Day
- Provide subsidised meals for students in need
